Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Schedule Announced, Voting in Seven Phases from April 19 to June 1

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases starting April 19 and will continue till the seventh phase on June 1. As many as 21 states will vote in the first phase of the Sabah state election.


Twenty-one
states and union territories (UTs) will vote in the first phase of the Lok Sabha polls, while 13 states and 12 states will vote in the second and third phase respectively. Similarly, 10 states will vote in the fourth phase of the elections, eight in the fifth, seven in the sixth and eight more in the final phase. Phase 1 will include Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu. , the states and UTs include Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar. Voting will be held on April 19 in the islands of Jammu and Kashmir, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

the announcement of the dates, the Moral Code of Conduct (MCC) will be implemented across the country in a timely manner.
