About the Grant
GenScript Life Science Research Grant Program is a new initiative dedicated to supporting breakthroughs in life science research areas, including but not limited to those indicated below. This program is designed to empower researchers by providing grant funding earmarked explicitly for purchasing reagents and services.

- Diagnostics
- Plant Sciences
GenScript provides comprehensive “one-stop” solutions for projects in the identified research areas through its advanced technologies and platforms. The Life Science Research Grant Program will leverage GenScript’s existing capabilities to accelerate projects by partnering with investigators globally on their proposed projects.
- A total of 40 grants are planned and will be awarded based on scientific merit, potential for impact, and strategic alignment with GenScript’s primary areas of scientific interest.
- Grants will be awarded at a range of funding levels, dependent on GenScript’s internal committee assessment of the project’s budget needs. The maximum amount to be awarded is set at 100,000 USD for qualifying projects.
- Projects are expected to commence promptly after receiving grant funding from GenScript, and research activities should generally take place over 12 months or less.
Eligibility
- Research Focus: Proposals must align with the focus areas of the program in life science research areas including but not limited to gene and cell therapy development, antibody drug discovery, vaccine development, diagnostics, or plant sciences.
- Geographic Location: Open to researchers globally. There are no restrictions based on geographic location, and international applicants are encouraged to apply.
- Entity Type: Eligible entities include academic/research institutions, universities, biotechnology companies, and other organizations engaged in life sciences research. Any local, state, provincial, federal, or other government or government agency, and officials or employees thereof, are not eligible to participate. Healthcare organizations, including hospitals, healthcare professionals, and employees thereof, are not eligible.
- Legal Status: Must be legally recognized and authorized to conduct research in their respective jurisdictions.

Grant applications for the 2024 GenScript Life Science Research Grant Program must be submitted electronically in English using the portal on the web page: https://www.genscript.com/grantprogram.html

Proposed projects should commence within six (6) months of receiving grant funding from GenScript, and research activities should generally take place over one year or less. Please note any planned deviation(s) from these guidelines in the application if applicable.
